SUMMARY:Inaugural International Climate Action\, Agroecology\, Waste Management and Energy Conference and Bamboo Expo.
DESCRIPTION:TEAMEnvironment KENYA\, KABARAK UNIVERSITY AND KEFRI \n \n \n \n Our Inaugural International Climate Action\, Agroecology\, Waste Management and Energy Conference and Bamboo Expo.\nThe above-mentioned conference is from a strategic partnership and collaboration between Team Environment Kenya\, Kabarak University and the Kenya Forestry Research Institute. This collaboration was formalized through the school of science\, engineering and technologies establishing a Memorandum of Understanding that was signed on December 16\, 2024\, a framework for public\, private\, and community partnerships in environmental conservation. \nAs part of this initiative\, Team Environment Kenya in collaboration with KEFRI are facilitating the establishment of a ten (10) million-capacity tree nursery and seedling propagation center at Kabarak University\, with a dedicated five-acre land allocation. This project will be officially launched by Dr. Deborah Baraza\, Cabinet Secretary for Environment\, Climate Change\, and Forestry\, during the inaugural annual conference themed: \n“Climate Action\, Agroecology\, Planetary\, Human & Soil Health\, Waste Management\, Energy Conference and Bamboo Expo” \nThe conference is scheduled to take place from July Tuesday 8th to Friday 11th July\, 2025\, at Kabarak University. During this event\, we aim to have at least five hundred thousand seedlings ready for transplanting\, marking a significant step toward landscape restoration and climate resilience in the communities around the Kabarak University\, Nakuru and Baringo Counties and Beyond towards the realization of 15 Billion Tree Planting (Growing) Target by 2032. \nThe Botanical Garden at Kabarak University will be a Center for Conservation and Research. \nA key component of the initiative by Team Environment Kenya and KEFRI is the establishment of a Botanical Garden at Kabarak University. This garden will serve as a center for biodiversity conservation\, research\, education\, and eco-tourism. It will feature: \n\nIndigenous and endangered tree species to conserve rare and threatened plants\nMedicinal and economic plants showcasing their nutritional and commercial value\nAgroforestry and bamboo demonstration sites promoting sustainable land use practices\nSeed banks and propagation areas to support research and restoration efforts\nEducational and recreational spaces providing learning opportunities for students\, researchers\, and conservation enthusiasts\n\nThe Botanical Garden will be a landmark project in the region\, fostering sustainability\, environmental education\, and green economic opportunities. \nThis initiative aligns with Kenya’s Vision 2030\, the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration\, and the African Union’s Agenda 2063\, reinforcing our commitment to combating climate change and restoring landscapes for a greener future. \nIn view of the above we invite government agencies\, corporates\, private sector partners\, academic institutions\, environmental organizations\, and the community to join us in this transformative journey toward a sustainable and resilient environment. \nTo Partner\, Support and Participate register via the link: – https://forms.gle/1nzE41ScSbm1co76A \nOur mission is to\, “Leave a Heritage for Future Generations of a Cleaner\, Greener – (Food & Water secure) and a peaceful environment rich in Flora\, Fauna and Aquatic Life.” \nEmail:- info@teamenvironment.org  \nOchanda Mathew \n	\n \n \n \n \n \n	\n	\n\n \n Add to calendar \n \n	\n\n \n \n \n \n \n Google Calendar \n \n \n \n iCalendar \n \n \n \n Outlook 365 \n \n \n \n Outlook Live \n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n\n\n	\n	\n\n	\n Details \n	\n	\n\n \n \n Start:\n \n July 7\, 2025 \n \n \n\n \n End:\n \n July 11\, 2025 \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Website:\n https://forms.gle/1nzE41ScSbm1co76A \n \n \n \n\n	\n\n	\n Organizer \n	\n \n \n TEAMEnvironment KENYA \n \n \n \n Phone \n \n ‪+254 718 052 754‬ \n \n \n \n Email \n \n info@teamenvironment.org \n \n \n \n Website \n \n View Organizer Website \n \n \n\n\n	\n\n	\n	\n\n	\n Kabarak University\n	\n\n	\n \n \n\nKabarak University Nakuru Town Campus\n	\n \n Nakuru\,\n\n\n\n	Kenya\n\n\n\n + Google Map \n \n \n View Venue Website
