Welcome to TEAMEnvironment Kenya
On Monday, January 2nd, TEAMEnvironment Kenya’s Climate Change, Peace, and Environmental Ambassador, Ferdinand Omanyala, celebrated his 27th birthday by planting 200 indigenous seedlings at the Ngong Hills in the Kona Baridi area. This special birthday celebration was part of our initiative #Trees4Birthday and was themed “Plant Your Age.”
Ferdinand was joined by his wife Laventine, his brother, and a group of friends, fans, and members of the TEAMEnvironment Kenya fraternity. The event was made even more special as Ferdinand also launched his annual challenge to plant one million trees in support of the government’s mission to plant 15 billion trees by 2032.
The event was attended by the PS Environment State Department of Forestry, Mr. Kimotho Kimani, who joined in on the tree planting session and later participated in the reception with Ferdinand where birthday cake was cut and refreshments were served. It was a great, memorable, and successful day for all in attendance. @tek_Kenya
