Success & Happy Endings: 10,000 Trees Planted in Nyeri County Conservation Mission

TEAMEnvironment KENYA is thrilled to announce the successful completion of our Nyeri County Conservation Mission and One Hundred Thousand Tree Planting Expedition. This initiative was in response to the Ministry of Environment and Forestry’s 60 Million Trees in 60 Days Tree Planting Challenge, and it took place from 29th March to 1st April in all sub-counties in Nyeri County.

We are delighted to have partnered with Nyeri National Polytechnic, Kagumo TTC Scouts, and the Nyeri Scouts Association for this initiative. With their support and participation, we were able to plant 10,000 trees in honor of Wangari Maathai’s posthumous 83rd birthday on April 1st, 2023, under our initiative #TreesForBirthday at Kagumo Teachers Training College in Tetu Constituency.

We extend our deepest appreciation to all our partners, supporters, and volunteers who made this initiative a tremendous success. Together, we have promoted real change, measurable impact, sustainable lives, and environmental transformation.
